The Curiosity Approach is one of the most modern Early Years Learning approaches and was developed based on the Montessori, Reggio Emilia, Steiner (Waldorf), Te Whariki (New Zealand's Early Years curriculum). This approach fits perfectly in current changing technological times. Bringing curiosity, awe and wonder into early childhood & creating the 'thinkers & doers' of the future.

The philosophy of Curiosity Approach is centred around a child’s natural desire to explore and build upon their curiosity. Providing children with natural authentic resources at the child’s eye level, encourages children to use their five senses much more and engage in the world around them.  They discover how different materials feel to touch, how they sound and explore the varying ways they can interact with them. To avoid overwhelming emotions, tiredness and stress, our setting environments has neutral colours, aesthetic homely representation, natural plants and provides cosy and charming hygge feeling.

Play is a central part of Curiosity Approach method. Children are encouraged to enjoy the process of discovery and curiosity but not the end product. They are exposed to unique learning opportunities and can expand their creativity and imagination through play, instead of being tunnel-visioned through closed-end toys .

In the KidsLab we believe that child's learning and development must cover all types of intelligence and therefore our curriculum provides holistic approach to teaching. Education is planned and implemented in such a way as to promote the development, health and well-being of children. We offer children an enabling environment with engaging and attractive resources and a balanced daily rhythm with both rest and activities that are adapted according to children needs and length of stay. Our routine includes planned adult-led teaching sessions, children-initiated free-play time, outdoor time, time for yoga and mindfulness sessions, outdoor play, nap time in the separate room, story time and time for extra-curricular activities etc.
