LEARNING APPROACH

The Curiosity Approach is one of the most modern Early Years Learning approaches and was developed based on the Montessori, Reggio Emilia, Steiner (Waldorf), Te Whariki (New Zealand's Early Years curriculum). This approach fits perfectly in current changing technological times. Bringing curiosity, awe and wonder into early childhood & creating the 'thinkers & doers' of the future.

The philosophy of Curiosity Approach is centred around a child’s natural desire to explore and build upon their curiosity. Providing children with natural authentic resources at the child’s eye level, encourages children to use their five senses much more and engage in the world around them.  They discover how different materials feel to touch, how they sound and explore the varying ways they can interact with them. To avoid overwhelming emotions, tiredness and stress, our setting environments has neutral colours, aesthetic homely representation, natural plants and provides cosy and charming hygge feeling.

Play is a central part of Curiosity Approach method. Children are encouraged to enjoy the process of discovery and curiosity but not the end product. They are exposed to unique learning opportunities and can expand their creativity and imagination through play, instead of being tunnel-visioned through closed-end toys .
